Southland

In a country that does nature incredibly well, the Southland region still manages to stand out as something special.

New Zealand’s famous natural beauty reaches a whole new level in Southland. The region has the country’s biggest national park (Fiordland), its highest waterfall (Browne Falls) and its deepest lake (Lake Hauroko). It also has one of the most famous hikes in the world (the Milford and Routeburn Tracks aka “The Classic”) and the country’s third-largest island (Stewart Island). Then there is the coastline (The Catlins), home to some of the world's rarest marine species. Enough already, Southland…we’re on our way!
